WeR1 is a pioneering music streaming ecosystem designed to revolutionise the music industry. It enables fans, DJs, and artists to earn from the music they love, focusing on underground electronic dance music. Everyone can create, and everyone can earn.
WeR1 addresses the problem of music creators being largely excluded from the current creator economy. By providing a unique, transparent and fair revenue share model, WeR1 seeks to ensure fair compensation for all music creators and curators.
WeR1 aims to reward all the participants in the ecosystem, from artists and producers, to labels and distributors and fans!
We utilise a subscription-based revenue model combined with a transparent revenue share system. This approach rewards platform participants, including artists, DJs, and fans, by allowing them to earn from the music streamed on the platform by using actual playtime as currency.
To make this work, everybody pays a subscription - we believe in the true value of creativity in music and are filtering the best exclusive content, distortion-free, with no ads.
At the end of each monthly cycle, 70% of your subscription is allocated based on your unique listening habits. If you listened to a set through a playlist, 10% goes to the playlist creator, and 90% to the set. From the set's allocation, 50% goes to the DJ, and 50% is shared equally among the track rights holders.
Absolutely. When you listen to a set, 50% of the allocated subscription flows to the set creator (DJ), and the remaining 50% is equally distributed among the tracks acknowledged in the set. This ensures that both DJs and track creators are fairly compensated.
